* If you use your vehicle simply as a commuting vehicle or just over the weekends for errands, you will also save money. As weird as it may sound, the less you drive, the more you’ll save on your auto insurance;
* Kids, listen to your parents and don’t drop out off college. Insurance agencies feel that those with higher educations usually have a better chance of being safe drivers;
* Another odd-ball category? You’ll actually pay less insurance if you’re married!

Insurance agencies also look for how you plan to drive your vehicle and whether you, are prone to accidents. If you enjoy road rage, you can forget about getting cheap insurance. However, if you have safety features in your car, such as anti-theft devices, anti-lock brakes, and airbags, you’ll win them over.
