Lorraine Kelly ‘most Popular Used Car Dealer’

Blorraine Kellyuying a used car does not have to be a difficult process but the top celebrity whom people would trust the most is Lorraine Kelly, according to a new poll.

AA Personal Loans asked 1,500 motorists which famous face they thought would be most reliable – and TV presenter Ms Kelly came top with 17 per cent of the vote.

Acid-tongued Jeremy Paxman was seen as the next most trustworthy used car salesman, although he was the most popular choice for male drivers as they felt he would not try to deceive them.

Paula Radcliffe and Carol Thatcher came third and fourth respectively as celebrities who would make the best used car dealer, followed by Jo Brand, Sharon Osbourne, Katie Price and Mr Bean.

However, wheeler-dealer Derek Trotter and failed chat show host Alan Partridge were two of three fictional characters on the list of would-be used car sellers – although Mr Trotter polled one per cent of the vote and Norwich's finest Mr Partridge polled 0.5 per cent.

Interestingly, none of the presenters of Top Gear featured in the top ten.
